Very nice. Schizophrenic here, I thought of psychotics as shamans a while ago when I read The Rainmaker by Herman Hesse in The Glass Bead Game. This is us, we are made to see beyond the lense of reality perceived by the tribe, and reorganise it in order to ward against nature and the shadows of society.
Another practical tip I have found: Seek mentors who are psychotic/shamanic aswell. Read successfull bipolar authors, like Hesse or Carl Jung. Delve into obscure myths, into psychoanalysis, into esotericism and religion.
But tether yourself to the real world. Do sports. Work a job. Have friends. Have a relationship if possible.
I think the dayjob of the shaman, and the initiate phase where the shaman toils under another superior shaman are not coincidences. They are vital for the functioning of the shaman/psychotic.
